In 2002 I begin my architectural practice with a focus on small commercial and custom residential projects. My design philosophy begins with a sensitivity towards the environment through sustainable design practices and technologies. My firm provides full architectural services with a "quality vs. quantity" approach preserving resources while creating high level designs within a client's budget. I have a diverse architectural background giving me a skill set that enables me to resolve design problems in innovative and creative ways.
My career began in the early 90’s at Dagit Saylor Architects, a medium sized firm in Philadelphia, where I gained broad experience working on health care projects, performing art centers, museums, college dining halls, student centers and dormitories to name a few. After nine years I took a position at Kling which at the time was one of the largest firms in the city. At Kling I was given the opportunity to work on large projects gaining technical and design experience associated with complex projects. I became part of a team that focused on the design and development of custom exterior wall systems for large structures.
During the twelve year duration at both firms my wife and I renovated a small row-house in Center City Philadelphia. In the process we performed all of the work ourselves learning all aspects of construction including plastering, masonry and carpentry along with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. These skills along with my previous experience have given me a broad knowledge base that contiues to grow and evolve with my current practice.
